YMCA Public School, Dhurwa

YMCA Public School was started in the year 2001 at our Dhurwa Branch. Thus, it has completed 18 years of its existence.

PROGRAMMES AND ACTIVITIES

17th Annual Award Function took place on 31th January 2020. The successful students in various categories for scoring good marks in Examinations, Good Behavior, Attendance, and overall performance in their academic year were honored with mementos and certificates.

Our students and teachers participated and celebrated the Independence Day, Republic day, Teachers’ Day to show our respect and gratitude towards our great nation.

Self Defense Class for senior girls was conducted on 22nd February 2020 by the officers of CISF Defense Group.

30 students of YMCA Public School, Dhurwa participated in Summer Day Camp under the Theme: “Living and sharing Together” organised by YMCA Ranchi on 1st and 2nd June 2019 at YMCA Vocational Training Centre, Kanta Toli, Ranchi.

Inter House Football Competition (Juniors) was organised on the school playground in which students from all the four houses got the opportunity to participate in the tournament. The tournament was played in Knock-Out basis. Sir George Williams (Blue House) emerged to be the winner by defeating K.T Paul (Yellow House) in the final Inter House Football Match was played on 31st July 2019.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Ranchi observed "Jal Shakti Abhiyan" (from 1st July to 15 September 2019). On this occasion the team of 80 CISF officers raised awareness about water conservation through the Bike Rally, flagged-off by the Chief Guest Mr. Anil Kumar, Inspector General, CISF Ranchi on Monday, the 5th of August 2019. 146 students of YMCA Public School, Dhurwa participated in drawing and debate competition organised by CISF Volunteers. The prizes were presented by the Chief Guest to the best 15 students. The team of CISF Offices raised awareness towards the young generations through presenting Nukkad Natak(Street Play) and by playing an audio visual short film focusing on water crises and how young people can play an important role to preserve ground water. At the end of the programme students enjoyed the demonstration presented by the CISF Dog Squad at Canine Training Centre, CISF, Dhurwa.

Medical Health Check-up Camp was conducted on 7th September 2019 by YMCA Health Care Centre, Ranchi for all the students of YMCA Public School, Dhurwa. Necessary medical advice and precautionary measured were given to 144 no. of students.

19th Annual Athletics Meet was organised on 14th November 2019, in which students represented their respective Houses. Mrs. Madhuri Bage, President, YMCA Ranchi was the Chief Guest on this event.

A workshop and essay writing on Cleanliness was conducted in the month of December by the Officers of CISF through observing Sawchta Abhiyan Pakhwada on 3rd December 2019 to create awareness among youngsters to adopt hygienic lifestyle and to keep the environment clean and eco friendly. Prizes distributed to the students who gave their best.

Christmas was celebrated in our Branch by organizing Christmas gathering on 19th December 2018. The chief guest Mr. Novel Jojowar, Former Joint Secretary, Rural Development Department, Government of Jharkhand, delivered the Christmas message and guest of honor Dr. R. Das, Principal, Bethesada College, Ranchi shared Christmas greetings to the students on the occasion. The School Kindergaten students presented Nativity Play in a decent way to astonish the crowd.

All the students from Class Nursery to I were taken for Picnic in batches to Amusement Park. The students of class VIII were taken for Picnic to The Biodiversity Park at Lalkhatanga, 12km away from YMCA Vocational Training cum Programme Centre. Class IX students enjoyed the trek cum picnic to Dumbari Hill near YMCA Village Reconstuction Programme Centre, Maranghada, Khunti, 55kms away from Ranchi city. Class X students were taken to Panchghagh Falls at Khunti, 48km away from Ranchi City.

The Football Team A & B of YMCA Public School, Dhurwa participated and represented YMCA Ranchi in 33rd YMCA Inter School Mini Football Tournament 2019 (03 – 30 September 2019) organised by YMCA Ranchi at YMCA Dhurwa Ground.

Parents’ – Teachers’ Meeting is scheduled in regular intervals to evaluate the progress of each and every student of the School.
